We are really proud that Albert Village is a local network hub for the Chartered College of Teaching. We were thrilled to host our very first event in September to mark the occasion. Julia Flutter was in attendance from the College and the main event was a keynote presentation from visiting Professor Christine Rubie-Davies on high expectations teaching. Her inspirational presentation highlighted the limitations teacher expectation can have and the opportunities open to us with flexible grouping.
This theme will be a golden thread through all of our school improvement work this year and so pertinent in the work we do in raising aspirations in our communities. We hope the other schools attending found it just as valuable as we did.
We have been thrilled to invite Daisy Christodoulou to talk about comparative judgement and David Reedy to talk to us about reading comprehension.
Watch this space to see more events advertised here for through the Trust for the Chartered College. It's great to play our part in such a significant network for our local colleagues.
Coming up in August 2018 we are thrilled to invite Mary Myatt to spend the day with us in August. Chartered College members are warmly invited to enquire about spaces for this day.
